La Marseillaise

In La Marseillaise on November 1, 2009 at 11:49 pm

I’m  so sorry that we haven’t really been able to update this site as much as we did before, but I swear I’m gonna try harder.

Any ways, here is a new chapter of La Marseillaise

Chapter Six: Fool’s Gold

A/N: Last night we had a dinner party with lots of homemade Indian food and cheesecake, and afterwards Alex and I, plus the other third of our soul, Alison, came up with some really cool, twisted plotlines. One of them begins in this chapter, which Alex wrote in record time. Yayayay! There is much more fun coming, so keep tuning in!

A note to our lovely reviewer, Campanula1979: thank you. You are our hero as well.

Vouloir, c’est pouvoir.

MJ Tribute/La Marseillaise

In La Marseillaise, Ramblings of Alex on June 27, 2009 at 6:52 pm

You all remember the dancing inmates from few years ago? Well, they’ve made a tribute video to their favorite guy.

Here is the long awaited La Marseillaise update:

La Marseillaise

Sirius’s Light Materials a.k.a. Sirius Gets Sassy

A/N: Sorry this chapter took so long. Midterms are stupid and time consuming. It is harder than it seems to study everything from French to fascism, tables to Tudors, and Catch-22 to calculus all in a week. But we got through it, the midyear reports will be sent shortly, and we can enjoy a little peace before April 1st comes around and college admissions decisions take over our lives. So until then, enjoy! And please review, we love it when people review.

La Marsesillaise
Stepping on Blond Children

A/N: Here is a small piece of advice. If you’re thinking about starting a fanfiction, wait until after midterms, or finals, or whatever you have going on at this time of year. If you have nothing going on, then hats off to you, dear readers, and I expect you to be even more dedicated to reading this story than we are to writing it. Not to say we aren’t dedicated, because we are. That’s the point. We (or at least I) are (if it’s just I, then this word would be “am”) spending too much time writing this when there are exams to study for, essays to write, and research paper topics to research. However, in two weeks, midterms will be over, second semester completed, mid-year reports will be sent to colleges, and the seniors of ‘09 can finally sit back, pop in a DVD of Arrested Development, sip a cup of tea, and breathe. And oh, yes. Write fanfiction.

Punny

In Band related, La Marseillaise, Ramblings of Alex on June 14, 2009 at 4:21 pm

New website idea:
Instead of collegehumor.com, I’d make coolidgehumor.com

Woman at a Dinner:I’ve made a bet with a friend that I can get you to say at least three words this evening. What do you say to that?

Calvin Coolidge: You lose.

Maybe I’ll paint one together, but I’m too lazy right now.

*************************

In a completely unrelated note that we forgot to mention like last week when it happened, apparently there was some controversy when someone reported us (kyla and  myself) as under the age of eighteen and therefore inelligible to write for grangerenchanted.com. We just wanted to let you guys know that all of us; Kyla, Alison, and I, are eighteen as of April 16th.

We are somewhat good about making new posts on this homepage, but we were definitely lacking in good updates in other areas of the website, including, but not limited to the “About Us” section, “CHILL-ian Murphy Pictures,” and “Quotes to Live By.” The “About Us” section is now updated to show our correct ages.  If there are any questions, feel free to email us at sandthegp@gmail.com.

La Marseillaise
Sinister Mumblings, Rumblings, and Grumblings

Disclaimer: We do not own Harry Potter, any of the characters from the books or movies, or any other literary/pop culture references we make in this fanfiction. We do not make any money from the writing of this story.

De vin, de poésie, ou de vertu, à votre guise. Mais enivrez-vous.

Harry stared morosely at his slice of toast. He had just finished screaming at Hermione and was worried that he may have come off a little…paranoid. He knew that Hermione and Ron were losing faith in his wizarding skills. All of this insomnia completely prevented Harry’s abilities to do the simplest of charms. He couldn’t even accio the butter for his toast! And Ginny prancing around, looking as beautiful as a spring rose was not helping his concentration in the least. Maybe, Harry mused, if she were wearing a muggle costume. A penguin suit, perhaps? A loud banging interrupted Harry’s melancholy thoughts, and he quickly looked up to see the object of his attentions appear directly in front of him. Harry blushed, ran a hand through his unbrushed hair, and anxiously rubbed his scar. Ginny looked beautiful. It was almost as if she had been reading his thoughts; She was wearing a black pantsuit with a white shirt beneath, and for some reason, a bright red bow-tie.

La Marseillaise

A Secret Unveiled

Est-ce qu’on gouverne son cerveau, ou est-ce que le cerveau vous gouverne?”

Ron immediately tore the scrap of paper away from Harry and scanned his eyes over it. He looked back up to his friends, his face looking rather confused. “Harry, I can’t read this. There are funny words and accents in it. Hermione?” Hermione gently took it, initially thinking that it was normal English and Ron was just illiterate, but as she read the two boys could tell she had as little of an idea as to what the note said as Ron. She turned it back over to Harry, who attempted to read it aloud.

In La Marseillaise on May 20, 2009 at 12:53 pm

So, i guess we should start updating this when we upload a new chapter, and then anyone who checks this thing *cricket…cricket* will be attracted to the fabulous, wonderous, magical story of
LA MARSEILLAISE!

Currently, we have thirteen chapters up on Fanfiction.net and eight up at Granger Enchanted, but we add more to the author’s notes on Granger Enchanted because it’s the second time we’ve uploaded the story. So, if you would like to begin reading our wonderful story, i will slowly begin uploading here, or, if you want, you can go straight to fanfiction.net

LA MARSEILLAISE
The Man Without a Face

Prologue:

Remember, remember the fifth of November. This phrase was etched on the dark wood of Harry’s headboard; every morning since returning home from Hogwarts he gazed at it. What did it mean? He shifted his head to his alarm clock, and then towards his closed bedroom door. It was eight o’clock; only a few moments before his harpy of an aunt came banging on the door. Turning back once more to look at the inscribed words, he slowly traced the words with his index finger. A sharp knock and even sharper words came from the hallway outside, and Harry quickly sat up on his bed, once again wishing that he had something to enjoy about his birthday.
